Jason's estimated time of arrival for home is....Wed May 6!!!!! That's right folks Jason will be saying goodbye to good and not so good nurses, smells and not so good smells, and will say hello to his king size bed awaiting him in his old room! 10 months later, Jason is finally coming home! Although, he has come a long way his road to recovery does not stop here. He will continue to get therapy throughout the week and keep on a schedule. He is looking forward to friends coming to the house and visiting him. If you have the time please come by and see him. He seriously loves it!! I think it helps him feel more back to "normal" and makes him feel like he is not "different" than before. Can't wait to inform you on how his reaction is when going home for the first time in 10 months. Pics to come. Happy Cinco de Mayo! What better place than Salinas to spend it!

This is Kyle Murchison from Jason's 2008-1 fire academy. I just got done with a weekend at the sam karas center and i cannot even put into words how happy i was when i finally had to leave. As being one of the first people to see J after the accident i havent been able to visit since. as soon as i saw Jason in the facility my heart absolutely was lifted. the pictures that the family put up just arent enough compared to seeing and hanging out with the big man in person. it was by mere coincidence that i found out where jason actually was. my grandma had a really bad stroke recently and was at sam karas one day while i was talking to my mom. out of the blue i hear my mom gasp and say, kyle its jason, he's here with gramma! so i was able to visit two people i care for at one time which was great. i would like to point out something though, and that is whitney tuttle who is one of Jason's friends. she was there every day and from the little bit we talked about it seems she has really been there through all of it and i find that absolutely awesome. everybody who is firends with J or the family should try to give her a thankyou. excited for Jason to finally get home!
HE'S HOME! YES-JASON IS BACK UNDER OUR ROOF! HE TRANSFERRED INTO MY CAR FINE, HIS WHEELCHAIR FIT IN THE BACK, AND WE TRECKED HOME! I FED HIM WHEN WE GOT HOME, GAVE HIM HIS MED, WATER, AND A GOOD FRIEND "SHAUN SCOTT" IS HERE WATCHING GOLF WITH HIM AND CHATTING AWAY! DANIEL TROIA AND BRENDON ARE COMING IN AN HOUR. I LOVED KYLES BLOG ENTRY! ITS SO TRUE--2 THINGS, SPENDING TIME WITH JASON IS FUN, UPLIFTING AND GREAT FOR NOT ONLY HIM BUT WHOEVER IS VISITING WITH HIM. ALSO, WHITNEY TUTTLE HAS BEEN THERE FOR JASON ALL THOUGH HIS RECOVERY-WHAT A WOMAN. SHE HAS TRAVELLED TO EACH PLACE JASON HAS BEEN AND HE BRIGHTENS UP WHENEVER HE SEES HER! THANKYOU WHITNEY FOR BEING A PILLAR OF STRENGTH TO OUR WHOLE FAMILY. THIS JOURNEY HAS BEEN EASIER BECAUSE OF YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES SUPPORT!
THANKS CNS NURSING! THEY CALLED US THIS MORNING-I WANTED TO CALL WHEN JAY GOT HOME BUT THE TIME WENT-SO WILL TRY AND CALL TOMORROW AROUND NOON. YOU ARE SPECIAL TO OUR FAMILY!
JASON HAS THERAPY EVALUATIONS TOMORROW AND FRIDAY AT COMMUNITY HOSPITAL OF MONTEREY. SO-THE THERAPY CONTINUES... KEEP PRAYING FOR OUR JAY-HE HAS THE DETERMINATION TO KEEP MOVING FORWARD.
